Brad Marchand has only been in Florida for two months, but he has seemingly became a fan favorite amongst his peers and even teammates that once disliked the longtime Boston Bruins captain, who have now made their true feelings known.

Marchand recently faced a potential 0-3 series duel against the Toronto Maple Leafs in Game 3, but Brad put the rats on his back to bury the overtime winning goal.
«There's some traffic in front and in overtime, there's not a bad shot you can put at the net. Obviously, a fortuitous bounce, but that's what happens when you put pucks there.»
Despite Marchand and his Boston Bruins facing the Florida Panthers in what seems like moments ago, and the hatred they developed for each other, it has quickly been thrown down the drain and players are beyond thankful to now have 'the pest' on their side.
«He's been outstanding for us in the locker room, on the ice as well,» goalie Sergei Bobrovsky said. «He's a good leader. It's great to have him on our side. I've been competing against him all my life. He's been scoring on me all the time. It's great to have him on our side now.»

Matthew Tkachuk and Sam Bennett, two other pest-like forwards also echoed Bobrovsky's statement and highlighted how happy they are to have him.
Panthers head coach even had a playful comments, stating he's sworn less since Marchand's arrival.
«I swear less,» Panthers coach Paul Maurice said.

Marchand's teammate Carter Verhaeghe, who had several battles with Marchand when the Bruins faced Florida in the Stanley Cup Playoffs in recent years, revealed that he's exactly the kind of player you want on your team if you want to win a Stanley Cup.
«He brings so much life to our team,» Verhaeghe said, sitting next to Marchand at the podium. «He's so energetic. And obviously you see what he does on the ice. He's such a great player and been around for so long. He's a player, a performer, and he scores big goals at big moments. He's done it all, won a Stanley Cup. He brings so much life and energy to our group.»

"Good looking too" Said Verhaeghe.

It's another glimpse of heartbreak for Bruins fans witnessing another NHL franchise soak up their once-captains last few years before retirement.
We can only hope Don Sweeney didn't burn too much of the bridge with Brad, and can potentially look to acquire him in free agency to bring him home during this re-tooling process by the Bruins management.
