David Pastrnak is having one of the most dominant seasons for a Bruins player in recent memory and he's close to breaking a longstanding record held by Cam Neely.
By scoring his 50th - and 51st - on Sunday against the Carolina Hurricanes, Pastrnak became just the sixth player in franchise history to reach the milestone, and the first since Neely in 1993-94 season.
According to the NHL Network, Pasta is also now close to breaking Neely's record for the most goals by a Boston forward in a single season since 1980:
**Phil Esposito holds the Bruins all-time record for goals in a season, but I don't think anybody will come close to his 76 from 1971.
Pastrnak has improved his totals to 51 goals and 46 assists through 73 games, and is well on his way to the first 100-point season of his career, with nine games remaining.
