The Boston Bruins fan-favourite, David Pastrnak, has been involved in conflicting speculation's recently, and new insight has revealed the forward is set to leave the organization.
Speculation's have been looming for several weeks on whether or not Czech fans can expect the 28-year old to step on the ice for this year's Ice Hockey World Championship, also known as IIHF World Championship.
Czech hockey fans have been busing as the national team gears up to defend its World Championship title on May 9 and in hopes they can expect the Boston Bruins' Pastrnak to compete for his country.
Things took a sudden turn during an interview that revealed that Pastrnak was on the fence about joining his country at the World Championships.
It was originally hinted in February, that the Bruins' forward would skip this year's Worlds, yet now, Radim Rulik, Czech's head coach, suggests the superstar is rethinking his decision, as Boston will no longer be attending the playoffs.
«If they made the playoffs, he obviously wouldn't,» the Czech coach said. «At this moment and in this situation, as we spoke... I'll put it this way, he's thinking about it.»
However a new announcement revealed he will in fact represent his country in this year's Championship and indeed leave the Boston Bruins for the time being.
This is not only big news for the excitement of the World Championships but for team Czechia as one of their best representatives of their country in the sports world will be joining them.
