David Pastrnak has been the only real highlight of the season for the Boston Bruins this year, but he is being robbed by the NHL for an unexpected reason.
Pastrnak had a very slow start to the season, and at one point wasn't even on pace to be over a point per game player this year.
That all changed when the calendar year flipped to 2025, as David Pastrnak went on an absolute tear.
Pastrnak ended up going on a 17 game point streak, lighting up the NHL, where he scored 15 goals, along with 18 assists for 33 points.
He ended up finishing the year with 106 points, which was good enough for top 3 in the NHL, and now the NHL is robbing him of a special honor because of an unexpected reason.

The NHL will not consider David Pastrnak for the MVP award this year only because his team did not make the playoffs.
Unfortunately, he won't pick up many votes, but this was another MVP-caliber season for David Pastrnak.
