Recent Report Reveals Team USA Disrespected Bruins Goaltender Jeremy Swayman Moments Before Game

Today Team USA will take on Team Finland and there is no doubt that there will be a lot of talent on the ice.

Yesterday's Canada and Sweden absolutely put on a show for fans, and many are hoping to see the same tonight when USA takes on Finland.

Back in December Jeremy Swayman and three other Boston Bruins players were announce to National teams for the Four Nations Faceoff tournament. Brad Marchand, and Elias Lindholm both got to play last night when Canada beat Sweden 4-3 in overtime, and now the remaining two in Jeremy Swayman and Charlie McAvoy are going to get to play in their first game tonight.

Many were shocked that Swayman was announced as a goaltender.

In the playoffs last year Swayman was stellar, earning himself the starting goaltender position this year for the Bruins, but he hasn't done a good job since earning that title.

In the off-season, Jeremy Swayman signed a massive eight-year, $8.25 million contract in the off-season, but has yet to live up to it this season.

Swayman has started in 40 games this season for the Boston Bruins and has a 18-18-4 record with a 2.98 GAA and a .898 SV%.

It's safe to say that as of right now, that contract is not looking good for the Boston Bruins.

It seems like Team USA realized that Jeremy Swayman is not playing at the level they know they can.

They announced their starting goaltender, and to no surprise it wasn't Jeremy Swayman. With how he's played this year, compared to the other two goaltenders, it's an obvious choice on who you take.

Team USA announced that Connor Hellebuyck is going to get the start for game one.
