Rumor: Boston Bruins and Vancouver Canucks combine for a trade involving a top-six player

A recent trade proposal surfaced to the media, that would see the Boston Bruins end up trading a top-six player to the Vancouver Canucks.
With training camp already underway, and preseason games ongoing, the Boston Bruins still have quite a few players that are involved in trade rumors.
The Canucks on the other hand, are looking for a second line centerman, and the Boston Bruins could be the perfect trade partner for them.
According to Canucks Daily, the Vancouver Canucks have tried to acquire multiple players to fill their 2C hole, but have failed.
Among the options the Vancouver Canucks have reportedly considered this summer, but have struck out on, include Marco Rossi, Christian Dvorak and Mikael Granlund, however, there is one player, who is a former first round pick, to keep an eye on over the coming weeks.
Canucks eyeing Casey Mittelstadt from the Boston Bruins
Heavy.com recently proposed a trade between the Bruins and Canucks that would see the Bruins trading Casey Mittelstadt.
The former first-round pick would fetch the Bruins a pretty solid return, as DeRosa revealed that the Bruins would get back forward Nils Hoglander and a 2026 second-round pick.
"Overall, the Canucks' roster looks solid on paper heading into the new season. Yet, after losing Suter in free agency, there is no question that they could use another skilled center. The Boston Bruins have an interesting potential option in Casey Mittelstadt." DeRosa said.

Mittelstadt has shown some offensive upside, he finished last season with 40 points and 15 goals, and could do better on a much more rounded out team like the Canucks.
