After exiting the playoffs in the first-round, and not having the best playoff performances, Team Sweden ultimately disrespected former Boston Bruins goaltender Linus Ullmark.

Ullmark had a super solid season in the regular season with the Ottawa Senators, and he had interest to go and play for his country, but it seems like they don't want him.
During last off-season, the Ottawa Senators made a huge move and went out and acquired a true number one starting goaltender in Linus Ullmark from the Boston Bruins.
He ultimately had a super solid season for the Senators and helped them get back to the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs for the first time since 2017, breaking a long drought for the team.
In 44 games, Ullmark posted a 2.70 goals against average, and a .910 save percentage while having a record of 25-14-3.

Team Sweden Disrespects Linus Ullmark

After having such a solid season, many expected Ullmark to join Team Sweden for the 2025 IIHF World Championship.
Ullmark was reportedly super interested in joining the team as well and representing his country, but it was revealed that the team ended up rejecting him, instead going with a different set of goaltenders.
'I have the interest, but they've decided not to go with me.'
Team Sweden decided to take Arvid Holm, Arvid Soderblom, and Samuel Ersson instead of Ullmark.
There is some speculation that Sweden is using this tournament to test some of their younger guys, and that the team will likely turn back to Gustavsson, Markstrom and Ullmark for the Olympics.
