Terrible injury news strikes the Boston Bruins as key defenseman leaves the game

The Boston Bruins have already suffered some terrible injury news in just their second game of the season.
Fans were super excited to witness the home opener, and it was their first chance to see one of their new captains in Hampus Lindholm.
Things took a big turn though, as at one point, Lindholm wasn't present on the Bruins bench.

Lindholm absent on the bench for second period
Starting off the second period, the Boston Bruins were missing Hampus Lindholm.
He also did not play in the final 8:04 of the first period.

Lindholm will not return
The Boston Bruins just provided an update on social media during the game and it's terrible news for the Boston Bruins.
It was announced that Hampus Lindholm has left the game and will not return.
Hopefully this is just for precaution, but things are not looking good, and it seems like the same thing as last year is happening in Boston.
The Bruins are hopeful that it's nothing serious.
This is horrible news for the Bruins.
