Following game 6 between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Florida Panthers, the trade that the Boston Bruins and Florida Panthers completed during the NHL trade deadline just took an unexpected turn.

After beginning the season up 2-0 on the Florida Panthers, the Toronto Maple Leafs looked like they were once again going to choke the series.
The Florida Panthers ended up winning three straight games, where NHL goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky looked like he was on a different level. He ended up shutting out the Toronto Maple Leafs during game four, and nearly once again in game 5.
Entering game six, Brad Marchand and the Florida Panthers knew that the Toronto Maple Leafs were going to be desperate and lay everything out on the line, and they did just that.
"If anything it's going to make them hungrier to have a bounce-back game and prove a lot of people wrong, which is a very dangerous combination."
The Maple Leafs ended up shutting out the Florida Panthers winning game 6 to keep their season alive, and forcing a game 7.

Trade Takes An Unexpected Turn

Florida looked like they had all the momentum entering game 6, and a lot of people already ended up counting out the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Toronto ended up surprising a lot of people, and now the trade the Bruins and Panthers completed at the trade deadline just took an unexpected turn.
After winning three straight games, it looked like the Panthers were going to beat the Leafs in game 6. Now with the Leafs forcing game 7, the chances of the Bruins conditional second-round pick turning into a first-round pick just got lower.
If the Florida Panthers end up losing to the Toronto Maple Leafs, they will only get a second-round pick in return for Brad Marchand.
Bruins fans are hopeful that the Panthers can pull off the upset in game 7, and they can get another first-round pick.
