Trade underway involving Boston Bruins goaltender Joonas Korpisalo: Two teams emerge as candidates
Two NHL teams have emerged as potential candidates for the Boston Bruins' net-minder, Joonas Korpisalo, and it's surprising.
This skilled goaltender has a 10-team no-trade clause and three years remaining on his five year at a $3 million average annual value (AAV) , thanks to the Ottawa Senators' salary retention.
Last season, Korpisalo recorded an 11-10-3 record, with a 2.90 goals against average (GAA), and a save percentage (SV%) of .892, with three shutouts within 24 starts.
However, according to several reports, and noted by James Murphy, this net-minder, alongside
Pavel Zacha, are looming in the rumor mill.
That being said, two teams have emerged as ideal destinations for this veteran goaltender.

The Carolina Hurricanes hav been struggling within the net as of late, as their starting net-minder Frederick Andersen's health remains as a concern, and the team unfortunately has no strong enough alternative to push them towards a successful campaign.
That being said, Korpisalo could stabilize their crease and most likely earn a larger role through 2027.
The Kraken's goaltendering scenario is similar to the Hurricanes, as they currently lacking security in the net
The organization's current goaltender, Phillip Grubauer, has been struggling for four seasons straight, so Koripsalo could undoubtedly step in as a dependable alternative.
