A new trade proposal sees Calgary Flames star defenseman land in Boston this offseason, and it is shocking.
Last campaign, the Boston Bruins were evidently one of the worst teams in the NHL, but luckily enough, the Bruins have vowed to make their presence for the 2025/26 postseason.
That being said, the organization has completed several moves this summer which saw plenty of players traded, acquired, and re-signed.
Yet, the offseason is not quite done yet, and in order for this Original Six franchise to live up to their promise of returning to the playoffs this upcoming season, some more moves will need to erupt in Boston.
New trade proposal sees the Boston Bruins organization acquire a Calgary Flames defenseman
A new trade proposal by Heavy.com has surfaced the media, which sees the Boston Bruins acquire a highly skilled Calgary Flames defenseman in a blockbuster deal.
This defenseman is the one and only, Ramsus Andersson.

This deal would evidently be a blockbuster one, as Boston would acquire Andersson to bolster their blue line, while two good NHL players and a first-round pick would make their way to Calgary.
The likelihood of this trade erupting seems decently possible, as Andersson's name has not only come up several times in trade rumors, but Flames captain, Mikael Backlund, unveiled that he expects this star defenseman to be on his way out of the organization.
«Yeah, he's getting traded. It's obvious,» Backlund said at the NHL player media tour in Europe. «But the team wants value. He wants a big contract. So he wants to play well. The team needs him to play well. So, just go out and play. I talked to him, too, and he doesn't want to be a distraction. So it's all good. It's too bad it's come to this. I don't think that they're close to getting an agreement or anything, but you never know. Things could change. We'll see.»
