EASPORTS Reveals who the cover athlete is for NHL24

This week marks a significant moment for Electronic Arts, the game's producer, as the much-anticipated full reveal trailer for NHL 24 is set to hit screens on Wednesday, August 16th. The excitement was ramped up even further on Monday, when the cover athlete was unveiled, a pivotal role that carries the essence of the game.
In a Twitter post that resonated with fans, EA Sports NHL proudly declared Colorado Avalanche defenceman
Cale Makar as the chosen one to grace this year's cover.
The post read, All Hail Cale 🥬 #NHL24. Stanley Cup Champ, Norris Winner, and your official NHL 24 Cover Athlete. See the full reveal 8/16.
Makar's distinction is twofold he becomes the third player in franchise history to be bestowed with this honor, following in the skate marks of Joe Sakic in 2004 and Peter Forsberg in 1998.
This marks the first time in two decades that an Avalanche player has adorned the cover, making it a historical accolade.
As the countdown to the unveiling intensifies, fans are buzzing with curiosity about the novel additions set to enrich the gaming experience. Longing eyes are cast toward the potential inclusion of a PC version, as well as the revival of the much-loved GM Connected feature.
