Tonight, the Florida Panthers will have the perfect opportunity to eliminate the Tampa Bay Lightning, as they currently lead the series 3-1.
During their last game, Panthers defenseman ended up getting away with a dirty hit on one of the Lightning's top wingers.
No penalty was called on the play, but the day after, the NHL DPoS ended up announcing a hearing for Aaron Ekblad.
They came to the conclusion that it was a dirty hit and Ekblad ended up receiving a two game suspension.
Hagel ended up leaving the game with an injury, and a recent announcement just confirmed his health heading into their elimination game, and it could change the outcome of the series.
Brandon Hagel's Health For Game 5
It was confirmed that Brandon Hagel will not be available for game 5 after taking the cheap shot from Ekblad.
Brandon Hagel will miss Game 5 for the Tampa Bay Lightning against the Florida Panthers. Hagel did not return to Game 4 after a hit by Aaron Ekblad.
When Hagel was absent from the lineup in game 3 due to a suspension, the Lightning ended up winning, and it stands as their only win to this point, but losing him for an elimination is a huge loss for the Lightning, and their season could be over because of it.
