Brad Marchand's comments regarding the Maple Leafs sparks speculation about where he lands in free agency
After eliminating the Toronto Maple Leafs once again from the playoffs, Florida Panthers Brad Marchand's latest comments regarding the Leafs has sparked some major speculation about where he may land in free agency.

After the series ended, Marchand ended up praising the Toronto Maple Leafs instead of taking shots at them.
The Florida Panthers dominated the Maple Leafs during game 7 winning 6-1, and Marchand played a big role scoring a goal and picking up two assists. After the game, he ended up praising the Maple Leafs for their efforts:
«They've been working and building something really big here for a while and they were a different brand of hockey this year. They're getting crucified and I don't think it's justified," Marchand said post-game. He also admitted that he grew up cheering for the Leafs as a child.
Marchand's Comments Causing Major Speculation
After hearing Marchand's comments regarding the Maple Leafs, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman reported that he thinks the Toronto Maple Leafs may pursue Marchand in free agency this off-season:
«Watching Brad Marchand fence with the media at the end of the game, I wonder if the Maple Leafs are gonna take a run at him this summer,» Friedman said on today's episode.
Marchand stated that he grew up a Toronto Maple Leafs fan, and it all just makes sense. Who wouldn't want to play for their childhood team to close out their career?
