Jonathan Drouin made a significant mistake when he failed to attend a team meeting following the Canadiens' 9-5 defeat to the Florida Panthers. He is now facing the consequences of his actions tonight.
Challenging Drouin's Patience
Initially, it was believed that Drouin would be benched for tonight's game, as Martin St. Louis considered this team meeting non-negotiable.However, St. Louis has decided to allow Drouin to be in uniform, but he will remain on the bench for the entire game.
Drouin has already experienced the first part of his penalty, having not been given any shifts during the initial 20 minutes of the game.
Drouin will have to endure the remaining 40 minutes of the game, as it currently seems more probable that the emergency backup goaltender (EBUG) will receive playing time before he does!
