Ever been in those beer league games where you sense things won't go your way?
Picture that scenario, but now you're playing in the NHL for a renowned franchise like the Toronto Maple Leafs.
In tonight's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets, Leafs enforcer Ryan Reaves took an unfortunate turn. In the 1st period, he awkwardly injured either his knee or foot, slamming into the side boards without a battle for position. To add to the woes, Reaves seemed to stumble down the hallway stairs on his way off the ice.
Sometimes, the universe sends hints, suggesting it might be time to call it a night. Tonight just wasn't Reaves' night.
