It was a brutal scene earlier this week but something that forward Brad Marchand turned into another All-Star performance.
During the opening period between the Boston Bruins and Washington Capitals, Marchand took a high stick from
Nic Dowd that knocked him out of the game for a little bit.
Marchand bloodied and taped up came back to the game and ended up scoring two huge goals during the Bruins win.
Before the Bruins game against the Montreal Canadiens tonight, Marchand met with the media and revealed the details of what happened.
Marchand revealed that his nose was broken on the play and he also received multiple stitches.
The forward was happy he didn't lose any teeth on the play.
"5 or 6 stitches, but I'm just happy it wasn't my teeth. I don't think it was intentional by any means, but he got me pretty good"
Between the nose and playing against one of the Bruins' biggest rivals, we'll should see a pretty big game from Marchand tonight.
