The Bruins start a quick two-game road trip with their second trip to the new Little Caesars Arena in Detroit as they look for their third victory of the season over the Red Wings. The Bruins scored six goals in their two previous matchups against Detroit with Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron each scoring twice and Noel Acciari and David Pastrnak adding single tallies.
Marchand and Acciari will both be out of the lineup.  Marchand is serving the fifth and final game of his suspension for elbowing Marcus Johansson in the head and Acciari is still sidelined with a lower-body injury.
The Wings come in with just four wins over their last 10 games.  Their 10 wins on home ice this season is the third fewest in the league.  Only the Arizona Coyotes and Buffalo Sabres have fewer wins at home this season.
Veteran Jimmy Howard will get the start for the Wings tonight.  He is 5-5-2 with a 2.48 goals-against average and a .923 save percentage in 13 career games against the Bruins.
