The Boston Bruins and general manager Don Sweeney announced a roster move on Monday.
The team has officially placed goalie Tuukka Rask on injured reserve while calling up Zane McIntyre from the AHL.
Rask suffered a concussion after a brutal collision during the first period of the team's game against the New York Rangers on January 19. He has been placed on injured reserve, retroactive to that date, and will not play in the team's game vs. Winnipeg on January 29.
McIntyre has registered 16-8-0 record with a 2.74 goals against average and .887 save percentage with Providence this season.
