The Boston Bruins are in Washington tonight as the team continues it's road trip and they'll face the first place Capitals.
Washington actually sits tied for first with the New York Islanders and both teams have played 39 games. The B's sit 8 points behind them in fourth place and 5 points ahead of the New York Rangers and Philadelphia Flyers who sit behind the B's.
With both Tuukka Rask and Jaroslav Halak still sidelined, head coach Bruce Cassidy confirmed that Jeremy Swayman will get his second career start.
The 22 year old got the W in his first career start on April 6 against the Flyers and gave up just 2 goals on 40 shots.
"I liked everything that I saw," Cassidy said. "But let's get a few more games under his belt. You hate to do that right away, but he's going in tonight."
Cassidy also confirmed that Charlie McAvoy will be scratched once again as he deals with an upper body injury and Trent Frederic won't suit up either as he deals with a non-COVID sickness.
