Even though Matthew Tkachuk has left the Battle of Alberta, it hasn't stopped Edmonton Oilers forward Evander Kane from keeping the rivalry going.
Tkachuk and Kane are both well-known as pests on the ice, and the two built quite the back-and-forth feud over Kane's short time in Edmonton last season.
Some Oilers fans are even going as far as saying that Kane was responsible for Tkachuk wanting to move all the way to Florida after the former Flames forward disappeared in Edmonton's five-game series win over Calgary in the 2022 playoffs.
As we all know, Tkachuk was recently traded to the Panthers, and he discussed moving from a provincial rivalry against the Oilers to an interstate rivalry against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Evander Kane took the opportunity to reply to the NHL's post in the most subtle but hilarious way.
