After Sunday's win over the San Jose Sharks, head coach Jim Montgomery provided an update on Jake Debrusk's current injury rehab.
As we all know, DeBrusk suffered leg and hand injuries during the Winter Classic in January 2nd, and has been out since. But apparently the forward is right on schedule.
The Bruins start a five-game road trip in Montreal on Tuesday and then have 10 days off after February 1st for the All-Star break.
Montgomery had the following to say Sunday night:
''I don't think he's coming on the trip. I think he starts skating [Monday].''
''He has to check boxes to come back, so we don't have a timeline right now. We'd like him to be back before the All-Star break, but we're not gonna push that with that break coming.''
DeBrusk, 26, is enjoying a great season, as he had 16 goals and 14 assists in 36 games prior to his injury.
