P.K Subban had a hard time securing a contract this season, and it would make sense that some media personnel have questions about his next move.
As everyone knows, the media around the NHL can be pretty nasty.
This rings true even more so when it comes to Toronto Media.
Steve Simmons of the Toronto Sun is a notoriously invasive reporter that has no morals and will do anything to try and get a ''good story.''
FOR REFERENCE: He was the one that leaked Auston Matthews' medical records. However, it appears that Simmons has been duped by Subban, who knows exactly what kind of reporter he is.
Simmons tried to reach out to Subban for comment regarding his contract situation, there was one problem, none of the five numbers he had for the defenseman were his.
Honestly, good for Subban for protecting himself against a second-rate ''journalist,'' maybe take a hint!
It makes sense now too, that Subban maybe just had plans to announce his retirement on his own terms and didn't want it getting out too early!
