Bruins prospect Fabian Lysell and Sweden faced off in semifinal action against Czechia this afternoon at the World Juniors.
It was a highly defensive game with Sweden under a minute away from going to the Gold Medal Game, the Czechs tied it with just 39 seconds remaining.
The game would move to a 10-minute, 3-on-3 overtime period, and unfortunately, Lysell did not get a shift in the extra frame.
Czechia would score to advance to the Final for the first time since 2001.
Lysell has zero points in six games after 6 in 7 games at the tournament this summer. The 19-year-old is also at almost a point-per-game this season in the AHL.
It's been a really disappointing - but also very unlucky - World Juniors for the Bruins top prospect.
