The Bruins lost Jake Debrusk to multiple injuries after his heroic two-goal third period at the 2023 Winter Classic.
Although, Boston is still an impressive 9-3-1 since then, three of the four losses have come in the last three games.
The powerplay is also mired in a current 0 for 13 slump.
However, according to Steve Conroy of the Boston Herald, Jim Montgomery shared a positive update this morning:
''Montgomery said he'd be «shocked» if DeBrusk wasn't ready for the Washington game when Bruins come back from break.''
The energy, physicality and speed that DeBrusk brings has been evidently missing from the Bruins offense and powerplay as of late
DeBrusk was enjoying a potential career year before injury, as he had 16 goals and 14 assists in 34 games.
