NHL veteran Phil Kessel first made League history on October 25th, when he played his 990th consecutive game, passing Keith Yandle for the most ever.
Thursday night, Kessel took it a step further, playing in his 1000th straight NHL game. Something that has never been done before and may never happen again.
Kessel was originally drafted by the Boston Bruins in 2006, but his legendary streak officially began on November 3rd, 2009, when he was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs.
