Yesterday, it was announced that the hockey community is mourning the passing of a young star forward who was just 29-years-old.
According to reports, 29-year-old forward Jacob Bresser ended up passing away way too early.
Bresser's career in hockey started catching attention when he was playing for Eau Claire Memorial High School.
In just 24 games with Eau Claire, Bresser scored 47 goals, 23 assists for 70 points, and that ended up leading to him getting a stint with Chicago's USHL team.
After that, he went on to play with the University of Wisconsin, and due to his off-ice leadership skills, the University announced him as captain. He was also named to the NCAA III First Team All-American.
"It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of one of our own, Jacob Bresser. An Eau Claire kid who embodied what it truly meant to be a Blugold as a captain, a teammate, a son, a brother, and a husband. Once a Blugold, always a Blugold."
According to
Hawksinsider, he wasn't just skillful on the ice:
His skillset wasn't just used on the ice, he was a Series 7 financial Planner after passing 66 exams, grading in 2020 with dual majors where he would later on earn his Master's Degree.
Now, Jake is being remembered by his peers for being loving, determined, and a professional individual.
"It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Jacob Bresser, who proudly wore our jersey during the 2015-16 season. Bresser was a great person on and off the ice. We will miss you deeply. Once a Jet, Always a Jet."
