The Boston Bruins rival, the Toronto Maple Leafs are reportedly set to combine with the Chicago Blackhawks in a one for one blockbuster trade.

It's no surprise that the Toronto Maple Leafs are going to look different next year, not just with their coaches but also with the players on the ice. There have been rumours ever since the Boston Bruins knocked the Leafs out of the playoffs that the core 4 will not be returning for the Leafs next year.

The Leafs already made changes in their coaching staff by firing Sheldon Keefe not long after being knocked out of the playoffs, and just a couple days later they announced that Craig Berube would be taking over the head coaching job.

Out of the core 4, William Nylander and Auston Matthews have been listed as non touchable's for the Leafs and a lot of rumours have suggested that Mitch Marner will be the one who gets traded.

Frank Seravalli of the Daily Faceoff reported that the Blackhawks and Maple Leafs may combine for a blockbuster trade involving Mitch Marner:

"One team that makes a ton of sense for me and Mitch Marner... the Chicago Blackhawks," said Seravalli on the Big Show. "Mitch Marner and Connor Bedard."

Seravalli also revealed who would more than likely be going to Toronto if the two teams decided to make the trade, and it would be Seth Jones:

"Mitch Marner for Seth Jones who says no?" asked Seravalli.

Jones would probably be a good addition to the Maple Leafs back end, as he is very offensively talented, but seeing this trade happen as a one for one is just too hard to imagine.

Seravalli thinks that this trade would go through no problem.

"I think, regardless of whatever you think of the contract, he's still a number one defenseman and he's way better than anything else they've got," said Seravalli. "And technically cap wise you would be saving almost 2 million bucks."

Seth Jones has a current cap hit of $9.5 million and still has 5 years left on his deal, do you think this trade would go through?
