Confirmed: Ex-Boston Bruins defenseman Connor Clifton traded to another Eastern Conference team
The Eastern Conference teams have been making moves at the NHL draft this weekend, and now another was made involving a former Boston Bruins defenseman.
The Buffalo Sabres are looking to become a better team, and made it clear that they are open for business.
In return, the Buffalo Sabres ended up acquiring the defenseman Connor Timmins, and prospect
Isaac Belliveau.
Elliotte Friedman was the one to break the news first:
The Pittsburgh Penguins not long after ended up confirming this with a tweet of their own:
The Penguins have traded Conor Timmins and Issac Belliveau for Connor Clifton and the 39th overall pick in the draft.
Clifton spent his first five years in the NHL with the Boston Bruins scoring a total of 10 goals, 33 assists for 43 points in 232 games.
He then went on to play for the Buffalo Sabres, appearing in 152 games with the Sabres in two seasons, scoring 5 goals, 29 assists for 34 points.
Many people are confused by this trade, but it seems like the Buffalo Sabres have something cooking that we all aren't sure about.
