Elliotte Friedman confirmed a huge rumour that was surfacing between the Boston Bruins and a top defenseman in the league.
According to Elliotte Friedman of the 32 Thoughts Podcast, GM Don Sweeney and the Bruin are in on Nikita Zadorov:

It was rumoured that the Boston Bruins were not interested in re-signing Matt Grzelcyk and Derek Forbort, so the Bruins had to make a big move to not regress on the blue line.
Zadorov is the perfect fit for the Boston Bruins standing at 6'6" he is a nasty, gritty type of player not afraid to throw the body and fits the Bruins culture.
Friedman on Zadorov/OEL and Leafs (32TP): "I think they are going to have competition from Boston for Nikita Zadorov, they're also in on Oliver Ekman-Larsson, but I think there are a couple of teams who are looking at that too"
The Boston Bruins ended up signing Zadorov opening day of free agency to a 6-year $5 million deal.
