Insider confirms this a monster offer for Linus Ullmark has been made
The Boston Bruins are hustling to find a suitor for Vezina Trophy-winning goalie, Linus Ullmark.
According to TFP and David Pagnotta, the Ottawa Senators are in buy-now mode as they're willing to ship out their 7th overall pick in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft.
Enter Don Sweeney, as it seems he and Steve Staios have been in contact about goalie Linus Ullmark previously.
Officially confirmed that Staios has reached out to Boston about Linus Ullmark.
There's a very strong potential that the Bruins could find themselves picking in the top 10 this draftwhether it's NJ or OTT who knowslet the bidding war begin
But there's been no deal done, as it's been speculated that Ullmark nixed a trade to the Canadian capital city.
Of course, the Senators aren't a prime destination for many NHL players as the winning culture isn't being developed and the team is still a work in progress.
But of course, all it takes is the right pieces to start winning and Linus Ullmark would be an upgrade over Joonas Korpisalo and Anton Forsberg.
The 2022-2023 Vezina Trophy winner, could end up being moved for a top pick in the 1st round and if the Senators do everything right, and Sweeney can convince Ullmark that there are greener pastures in Ottawa, perhaps the Bruins have a shot at someone like Ivan Demidov, or Cayden Lindstrom.
But in the meantime, there's uncertainty about the future of Ullmark in Boston, as Jeremy Swayman is the new #1 in Boston.
