A major development has surfaced in Boston Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy returning back to the Bruins lineup soon.
This morning, the Boston Bruins got some big news regarding Charlie McAvoy who has been out since the 4 Nations Face-Off tournament with a shoulder injury.
McAvoy ended up injuring his shoulder during Team USA's first game against Finland, but still went on to play their second game against Team Canada, and did not look like he was injured as he was throwing around some massive hits.
He would go on to miss their third game with a upper-body injury, and it was later announced that McAvoy was admitted to the hospital.
"Upon returning to Boston, he developed increasing pain, for which he was evaluated by the Boston Bruins' medical staff. After undergoing x-rays, MRIs, and bloodwork, he was diagnosed as having an infection in his right shoulder, as well as a significant injury to his AC joint.
He underwent an irrigation and debridement procedure at Massachusetts General Hospital on February 18. He remains in the hospital, where he is being treated with IV antibiotics, and his condition is improving."
Charlie McAvoy has been out ever since, but a recent announcement confirmed he may be nearing a return.
Major Development Surfaces Regarding Charlie McAvoy
It was revealed that Charlie McAvoy was on the ice this morning, and was handling pucks, and snapping wrist shots. This is big for him, as just last week he was on the ice, but only skating no puck handling or shooting.
