After the Boston Bruins held their introductory press conference for newly hired head coach Marco Sturm, a photo of him and Boston Bruins legend Patrice Bergeron went viral on social media.
On June 5th, the Boston Bruins ended up hiring Marco Sturm as their new head coach, and today they finally held his introductory press conference.
During the press conference, Sturm ended up talking about what he liked about the current Boston Bruins team, and what he wants to see changed.
One thing he stated the Bruins needed entering the 2025-26 season was secondary scoring, and forward depth, somthing the Bruins were lacking during the 2024-25 season and it showed.
He did state that he thinks the Boston Bruins have a very solid defensive core:
Marco Sturm, "There will be some changes (to the roster). We have a really good D corp. We, hopefully, want to add a few pieces up front. Overall, I do like our core. Depth-wise, we probably need a little bit more. We have to find a way to be more productive offensively."
