An unexpected 1-for-1 trade proposal has just surfaced the media, involving the Boston Bruins and the Utah Mammoth, and it's shocking.

The Boston Bruins' general manager, Don Sweeney, has proven he's willing to make some major sacrifices in order to retool the organization.
This was evidently shown during the Bruins' last campaign when the team departed with their former 16-year veteran and captain, Brad Marchand, as well as plenty of other fan-favourites during the NHL Trade Deadline in March of 2025.
With that being said, the Boston Bruins are expected to complete this offseason with some more unexpected moves.

The Boston Bruins organization is expected to make some more major moves before the 2025/26 NHL season

Due to the fact this Original Six franchise proved what kind of sacrifices they are willing to make with their moves thus far into the year, fans can anticipate some more major moves on the rise.
Now, a new proposal has just been made by Heavy.com, involving the Boston Bruins and the Utah Mammoth.
This proposed trade would be considered a major one as well, and could undoubtedly lead to another trade in the future.

New mock trade sees the Boston Bruins' Pavel Zacha traded to the Utah Mammoth

Reporter, Caleb Kerney of Heavy.com, proposed that the Boston Bruins organization could trade Pavel Zacha to the Utah Mammoth.
Here is the proposed deal that would take place:
Bruins Acquire:
2026 3rd round pick
Utah Mammoth Acquire:
Pavel Zacha (No Salary Retained)
This trade is extremely possible, as The Fourth Period has recently reported that Utah is an organization that is interested in acquiring Zacha.
Zacha was listed at number 16 of The Fourth Periods 2025 Summer Trade Watch List.
«The Bruins explored the trade market on Zacha during the season,» The Fourth Period reports. «And there is belief out there that Boston is looking, again, at moving him. His 10-team no-trade list turned into an eight-team list July 1, so he does have some say in where he ends up, if dealt. He has two years remaining on his contract.»

This trade would also give the Boston Bruins the opportunity to go after someone like Jean-Gabriel Pageau, who they have already been linked to.
Do you think the Boston Bruins would be willing to trade Pavel Zacha to the Utah Mammoth for a 2026 3rd-round pick?
