Last season was pretty embarrassing for the Boston Bruins, but management has been adamant that the organization is going to be a better team this upcoming year.
With that being said, Jeremy Swayman's name has been in trade rumors for quite a bit of time now.
If the Boston Bruins were to trade Swayman, this would ultimately put them into a rebuild instead of a retool.
The Edmonton Oilers have been one of the teams constantly in the rumors surrounding Swayman, and Heavy.com has proposed a blockbuster trade between the two.

This trade proposal sees the Boston Bruins trading Jeremy Swayman to the Oilers in return for Stuart Skinner, Matthew Savoie, Beau Akey and a 2028 first-round pick.

The Edmonton Oilers would get their franchise goaltender, while the Boston Bruins would get some young pieces to help speed up their rebuild.
Skinner and Korpisalo would form one of the worst goaltending tandems in the league, but this could help them acquire a top draft pick in one of the most stacked draft years.
Savoie would slot into the Bruins middle six, adding some youth to the lineup and would boost the Bruins prospect pool.
Akey is rumored to be pushing for a roster spot in the NHL next year, and could make the Bruins roster as well.
The Oilers weren't the only team to poke around about Swayman according to an insider.
«They weren't the only ones who had inquired about Swayman, but yes, I was told they poked around,» the source told RG.
