Boston Bruins 7th overall pick James Hagens shockingly comments on his future with the organization
For basically the entirety of last season,
James Hagens was projected to be the No. 1 overall pick.
Towards the end of the season, his ranking ended up dropping, and it ultimately ended up benefiting the Boston Bruins.
After being drafted, it was unclear what direction the Boston Bruins were going to take with Hagens, but now he has spoken on his decision.
James Hagens speaks on his decision to go to BC
Hagens spoke with Scott McLaughlin on why he has decided to go back to BC for another year, and he said there is no need to rush anything:
«It's not a sprint. It's a marathon. There's no reason to rush anything.»

This is definitely the right decision for Hagens, as it will give him an extra year to put some weight on, as well as improve his skills.
Absolutely the right decision for Hagens, and for BOS. He'll be in black and gold soon enough but for now he remains an Eagle and will be among the best NCAA has to offer next season in what's fair to call the league's deepest talent pool ever in terms of high end talent.
