With Martin Necas set to become a free agent next off-season, an NHL insider has revealed what it would cost the Boston Bruins to acquire him.

Mikko Rantanen and the Colorado Avalanche did not see eye to eye last season, leading to him getting traded to the Carolina Hurricanes.
In return, the Avalanche got Martin Necas, and Jack Drury. Necas instantly fit in perfectly with Avalanche captain Nathan MacKinnon.
There has been some speculation that Necas isn't a fan of the fit in Colorado, and there is a chance that he either gets traded, or walks in free agency.

The price to pay to acquire Martin Necas

If Necas does decide to hit the free agent market, he is going to be in for a big payday. After being traded to the Avalanche, Necas ended up scoring 11 goals, 28 points in 30 games.
Overall, split between the Hurricanes and Avalanche, he scored 27 goals and 83 points in 79 games.
NHL insider Nick Kypreos just revealed how much he could get on his next contract according to NHL Trade Rumors:
Nick Kypreos reported that "the feeling around the league is that Martin Necas could get $10 million AAV or more on his next deal." This isn't outlandish at all given where the cap is going and some of the other players around that cap hit. He is a powerful skater, great power-play player, offensive player, passer, and can score. Necas can also play center and the wing, but with MacKinnon and Brock Nelson, he can have a bit less responsibility on the wing and thrive.

The Boston Bruins have been linked to Necas throughout the off-season, and next year the Bruins are going to have plenty of cap space to work with.
You have to wonder if the #NHLBruins have their eye on the Martin Necas situation in Colorado. He's one of the few guys in next year's stacked FA class that may actually get to market.
If Necas does hit the open market, there is a good chance that Don Sweeney takes a big swing to acquire him.
