A recently completed trade between the Boston Bruins and one of their divisional rivals, the Toronto Maple Leafs, has just taken an unexpected and shocking turn.

During the NHL trade deadline, the Boston Bruins' evidently busy, as they were acquiring and departing with several players.
One of the players the Bruins organization acquired during the deadline was Toronto Maple Leafs' former 2nd round, 6th pick (38th overall) in the 2022 NHL Draft, Fraser Minten.
«Traded to Boston by Toronto with a 4th-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft and a 1st-round pick in 2026 (conditional) for Brandon Carlo, March 7, 2025.» Wrote NHL.com

Now, new shocking insight has surfaced regarding this young talent.

New insight surfaced the media involving Boston Bruins' Fraser Minten not making the cut for the upcoming season

This past Friday, reporter Bridgette Proulx, issued the Bruins' expected roster for the upcoming season based off of training camp so far.
Take a look:
«Pavel Zacha confirmed that Sturm plans on starting him out at center rather than wing. Based off training camp so far, I could see the center group looking like this to start the season:

1C - Elias Lindholm
2C - Pavel Zacha
3C - Casey Mittelstadt
4C - Sean Kuraly»
Another reporter then replied to this post revealing that if this was the case, that rules out both Matthew Poitras and Fraser Minten.
«Hello #NHLBruins fans. I've been quiet so far this offseason bc I'm tweeting from my honeymoon in Italy! This reporting from Bridgette is interesting because it seemingly rules out BOTH Poitras and Minten from 3C. This opens up an opportunity for Poitras/Lysell on wing»
Do you think this is the right move or should the Boston Bruins use Fraser Minten for the upcoming 2025/26 NHL season?
