Boston Bruins Fans Are Rooting For The Florida Panthers and Brad Marchand For A Shocking Reason
A recent development has revealed that Boston Bruins fans will be rooting for the Florida Panthers and former Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand due to a shocking reason.
Obviously this has not happened, and the Bruins have actually been a way worse team this year.
Because of this, the Boston Bruins ended up being
sellers at the NHL trade deadline. This did not come as a shock to many due to how bad they have been this year, but what did come as a shock was the moves the Bruins ended up making.
Don Sweeney completely tore down the Boston Bruins core during the NHL trade deadline, and surprised fans when he
traded both Brad Marchand and
Brandon Carlo, two people that the Bruins reportedly wanted to hang onto as they "re-tooled".
Now, Boston Bruins fans will be cheering for Brad Marchand and the Florida Panthers moving forward after they have basically been eliminated from the playoffs.
Bruins Fans Cheering For Marchand And Panthers For Shocking Reason
In the Brad Marchand trade, the
Bruins got back a conditional first-round pick. The conditions on the first-round pick is that Marchand has to play in 50% of the games during the playoffs, and the Panthers have to win two rounds in the playoffs.
If the Panthers do not do either of those, then the Bruins will only get a second-round pick in return for Brad Marchand.
The #NHLBruins have acquired a conditional 2027 second-round pick from the Florida Panthers in exchange for Brad Marchand.
Play those games, win those rounds and turn that second-round pick into a first-round pick 🤞🏻
Bruins Network revealed that he will be cheering for Marchand and the Panthers so that the Bruins get their first-round pick, and more fans will likely be doing the exact same thing.
