Boston Bruins General Manager kicks two players off their roster with latest announcement

While the Boston Bruins' general manager, Don Sweeney, and the front office have already undergone an abundance of decisions this offseason, including who they would like to acquire, re-sign, and depart with, there are still many decisions the organization will be faced with.

As this Original Six franchise has a couple months to make some moves erupt to work towards their ongoing rebuild prior to the beginning of the 2025/26 NHL regular season.

With that being said, a recent announcement has unveiled that the Boston Bruins organization has officially departed with two of their own.

A post on social media, via «X» unveiled that, per PuckPedia, the Boston Bruins lost signing rights to two players within the organization as of 5:00pm ET yesterday, August 15.

The Boston Bruins have officially lost signing rights to both defenseman, Ty Gallagher, and left wing, Jake Schmalts, as of yesterday.

Now, due to the fact that neither of these players were signed to new contracts, they have both just become unrestricted free agents (UFAs).
