According to a recent report, Boston Bruins goaltender Joonas Korpisalo is not happy with the Boston Bruins organization and has requested a trade from the organization.

After the 2024-25 season, it has become evident that Joonas Korpisalo is not happy with the Boston Bruins organization.
Insider James Murphy of the RG revealed that Korpisalo would accept the idea of being traded from the Boston Bruins if he was given the opportunity to have more playing time with a different organization.

Why Korpisalo wants to be traded

James Murphy revealed that the only reason Korpisalo wants to be traded from the Boston Bruins organization was because he was not pleasant with the playing time the Bruins ended up giving him this year.
In the 2024-25 season, Korpisalo was only started in 24 games with the Boston Bruins having a record of 11-10-3, along with a 2.90 goals against average, and a .893 save percentage. He did end up playing in 27 games (games Swayman was pulled) but only started 24 this year.
Korpisalo looked like he was going to be the starter for the Boston Bruins this year after Jeremy Swayman held out because he didn't have a contract, but once the Bruins signed Jeremy Swayman, Korpisalo returned back to the backup goaltender.
There is a really good chance that the Boston Bruins end up trading Korpisalo this off-season especially with them entering a re-tool, they could use the extra picks if they don't plan on playing him.
