Boston Bruins head coach Joe Sacco issued a massive update on Charlie McAvoy ahead of game

The Boston Bruins' head coach, Joe Sacco, reveals injury update on Saturday March 15, for top defenseman, Charlie McAvoy.
Charlie McAvoy, a top-line defenseman for the Boston Bruins, endured an unexpected injury while participating in the 4 Nations Face-off this past February.
During the Team USA's first game against Finland, McAvoy endured a brutal shoulder injury which still concluded in his participation for on-going games thereafter.
However, the Bruin would go on to miss the team's third game and it was later announced that McAvoy was admitted to the hospital and that he underwent X-rays, MRIs and bloodwork.
The results were then later released by the Boston Bruins head physician, Dr. Peter Asnis:
"Upon returning to Boston, he developed increasing pain, for which he was evaluated by the Boston Bruins' medical staff. After undergoing x-rays, MRIs, and bloodwork, he was diagnosed as having an infection in his right shoulder, as well as a significant injury to his AC joint.
He underwent an irrigation and debridement procedure at Massachusetts General Hospital on February 18. He remains in the hospital, where he is being treated with IV antibiotics, and his condition is improving."

As a result of McAvoy's injury, he has been absent from the organization's lineup, but it has been revealed this morning that the defenseman has begun participating in the Bruins' practices.
Many have begun to believe McAvoy's presents will be sooner than anticipated, but unfortunately per the Boston Bruins head coach, Joe Sacco, this key-player is still listed as week to week.

This is very unfortunate news for the Boston Bruins organization, especially during such an important part of the season. However, the idea that McAvoy has began participating with the team's practices, we should be expecting him on the ice soon.
