The Boston Bruins organization has once again enraged fans after announcing an unexpected roster transaction involving a fan favourite.

Just the day after the Boston Bruins ended their two-game losing streak, and beat the New York Rangers 6-3, they have completed a roster transaction that has fans pissed off.

Today, it was announced that the Boston Bruins have sent fan favourite Matt Poitras back down to the Providence Bruins in the American Hockey League.

There is belief that this could just be a paper transaction as nothing has been confirmed, but according to the American Hockey League wire, Poitras was sent back down to the Providence Bruins.

Bruins send Poitras to Providence per AHL wire but it might be paper, we'll see

Poitras was sent down to the Providence Bruins in the American Hockey League earlier in the season, and spent quite awhile down there. Since being called up, Poitras has been really good for the Boston Bruins.

The 20-year-old has appeared in 23 games this season for the Boston Bruins and has one goal, eight assists for nine points while being a minus-4.

Not only does Poitras bring offence to the Bruins lineup, like in their previous game when he picked up two assists, but he also plays a solid defensive game.

He is still young, and there are going to be some holes in his game, but all around he has been very impressive during his second stint with the Boston Bruins.

We will have to see if the Boston Bruins end up announcing this transaction, but as of right now it seems like he will be playing with the Providence Bruins.
