The Hockey News has revealed that Nick Ritchie has signed with HC Slovan Bratislava.
An announcement was made today that confirmed he will play the rest of the season with the HC Slovan Bratislava from the HC Nove Zamky.
Nick Ritchie scored 11 goals, had 13 assists for 24 points when he played for Nove Zamky, who sit dead last in the 12-team league with only eight wins in 43 games. Slovan, the new team he will be joining sits fourth.
Now, none of the Ritchie brothers play for Slovak clubs. It was reported that Nick's brother Brett had left Nitra in January to join the Schwenniger Wild Wings of Germany's DEL league.
Nick Ritchie was originally a first-round pick of the Anaheim Ducks. He was selected 10th overall in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
In 481 career NHL games, Ritchie played for five different organizations including the Anaheim Ducks, Boston Bruins, Toronto Maple Leafs, Arizona Coyotes, and the Calgary Flames.
In the 481 career NHL games he appeared in he recored 186 points, and had a totla of 483 penalty minutes. He has also played in 38 playoff games and had a total of nine points.
After not being able to land a spot on the St. Louis Blues roster back in 2023, Nick Ritchie has been playing hockey outside of North America.
