A recent announcement has revealed that the Boston Bruins have officially missed out on signing Mike Sullivan as their next head coach of the organization.
According to a trusted New York Rangers insider, Vince Z. Mercogliano it was revealed that the Rangers may have just found their next head coach, stealing him from the Boston Bruins.
After being fired by the Pittsburgh Penguins, Mike Sullivan quickly became the top head coach candidate for multiple NHL teams including the Boston Bruins and New York Rangers.
Multiple reports revealed that Mike Sullivan was the top coaching option for the Boston Bruins, but several insiders suggested that Sullivan's top desitionation was the New York Rangers.
«I've gotten messages from NHL general managers already this morning saying 'Does Mike Sullivan end up in New York today or tomorrow?' I think it is one of those things that could be locked up within the next 42 to 78 hours,»
Elliotte Friedman also went on to state that it would be hard for any team to outdo the Rangers in conversations with Sullivan:
«I cannot imagine [the New York Rangers] allowing anyone to outdo themselves in the pursuit of Sullivan,»
Mike Sullivan Reportedly Signs With The Rangers
Not long ago, Vince had a huge update on the Rangers search for their next head coach of the organization.
It still has yet to be confirmed, but it seems like Mike Sullivan signing with the New York Rangers is set to become official soon.
The Bruins have missed out on one of the top available head coaches, and best in the league. It will be interesting to see who they go out and sign after this.
