Boston Bruins to kick Fabian Lysell to the curb: "They have no room for him"
The Boston Bruins ended up improving their prospect pool last year at the NHL trade deadline, and now they may end up trading Fabian Lysell, due to not having room for him anymore.
During the NHL trade deadline, the Boston Bruins added quite a few high level prospects into their system.
What once was one of the worst prospect pools in the league, is now looking a lot better, as Don Sweeney used key players like
Brandon Carlo, and
Charlie Coyle to bring in some talented prospects.
With that, the Boston Bruins just ended up drafting
James Hagens, who currently is their highest ranked prospect in the system.
Do the Boston Bruins have room for Fabian Lysell?
That may in fact be the case when it comes to Fabian Lysell, as Boston is reportedly entertaining the idea of trading the former first-round pick.
Lysell was drafted 21st overall by the Boston Bruins during the 2021 NHL Level Draft, and they had the belief that he could be a game changer for them with his offensive upside.
The 22-year-old just made his NHL debut last season, where he appeared in 12 games for the Bruins scoring one goal, and two assists.
He ended up struggling big time, making the jump from the AHL to the NHL, and it appears that this season may be a make it or break it for Lysell.
As he enters what will be his fourth professional season this fall, it's beginning to look as if it's make or break for Lysell, at least with the Bruins that is.
It will be interesting to see what the Boston Bruins end up doing with Lysell, but things aren't looking too good.
