Trade underway between the Boston Bruins and Detroit Red Wings? Two players emerge as candidates
Throughout this off-season, many Boston Bruins players have surfaced as trade candidates.
After the
NHL trade deadline, the Bruins entered a retool, and they are continuing to try and do so.
With that being said, both Zacha and Mittelstadt are on the trade block for the Bruins.
Zacha has been playing 1st-2nd line over his time spent with the Boston Bruins.
Zacha and Mittelstadt both make sense
For a team like the Red Wings, who are lacking depth down the middle, both of them could be a difference maker on their 2nd line, and could help them make a run for the playoffs.
Reporting around the #NHLBruins has Pavel Zacha and Casey Mittelstadt as potential trade targets. Either would be an upgrade for the #Canucks at 2C.
Casey Mittelstadt would not be their first option, but he does have a solid cap hit for a player with some upside, and the fact that he is only 26-years-old is a bonus as well.
Mittelstadt carries a $5.75 million AAV, and had a total of 15 goals, 25 assists for 40 points in 63 games split between the Boston Bruins and Colorado Avalanche.
Zacha would make more sense as he is a proven veteran who could slot into their 1st or 2nd line and make an immediate impact.
