This season has been deflating for the Boston Bruins, and fans. Their last game against the Vegas Golden Knights may have been the nail in the coffin for them this season.

Boston ended up blowing another third period loss when they looked like they were set to gain two much-needed points against a tough Vegas team, but that did not happen and once again the Bruins chocked.

After the game Brad Marchand called out the team stating they now need to play "do-or-die" hockey when returning from the break, but things are not looking good for the Bruins.

One plus side is that the Bruins sit just one point back of a wildcard spot in the Eastern Conference, but have a 27-24-6 record, and every other team has multiple games in hand on them.

The chances the Bruins have to make the Stanley Cup playoffs this year is very slim, and it's become super clear that changes need to be made.

Cam Neely came out and stated that the Bruins have two paths at the NHL trade deadline: they are either going to be re-tooling or buying.

With the Bruins losing five of their last ten games in regulation, and how inconsistent the team has been, it seems pretty clear what direction they should head at the NHL trade deadline.

There are multiple players the Bruins could move to help their re-tool at the NHL trade deadline including multiple that have been involved in a lot of trade rumours this year.

Those players include, Brad Marchand, Brandon Carlo, Trent Frederic, Morgan Geekie, and Justin Brazeau.

It will be a tough pill to swallow for Bruins fans, but this will benefit the organization in the long-run.
