Boston Bruins to trade $66 million goaltender: A decision has to be made soon
The Boston Bruins have a big decision to make on whether or not they are going to trade $66 million goaltender, and it needs to be done soon.
As of right now, these rumors are just speculation, but if
Jeremy Swayman does not bounce back quickly for the Bruins, there is a good chance the noise around his name could get louder.
If Jeremy Swayman wants to stick around with the Boston Bruins, he needs to quickly find his game.
The Bruins are running out of time to make a decision
The Boston Bruins are going to have to decide quickly into next season if they are going to trade Swayman, or keep him.
This is because in his new deal, he has a full-no movement clause that's set to begin in 2026-27.
So if the Boston Bruins are wanting to move on from him, a decision will likely come within the next few months.
Swayman struggled big time last season, posting a 3.11 goals against average with a .892 save percentage. These were both career lows for the starting goaltender.
Boston's blue line, and offense did not help him out much, he also didn't help his case. Especially down the road where he went 2-8-1 in his final 11 goals, and allowed 4 or more goals in seven of those games.
There is some positives to look at, as he ended up going undefeated with Team USA during the World Championship.
Hopefully Swayman is able to translate that into next season.
