Boston Bruins top prospect traded to the Edmonton Oilers: A major development has surfaced

A major development within the Boston Bruins organization and it appears that he's done for good.
While the Boston Bruins begin their retooling process this offseason, Don Sweeney's solely in charge of making the proper decisions in free agency.
With several names on expiring contracts, such as
Morgan Geekie,
Jakub Lauko and
John Beecher, there's one under the radar name on his way out, and is being targeted by a Stanley Cup contender.
According to a source close to the Oilers organization, Bruins prospect Georgii Merkulov is on their trade list to acquire in free agency this summer.
"RFA Georgii Merkulov makes this list. Hoping he gets an opportunity elsewhere after 3 strong seasons in Providence"
Clearly the Oilers and general manager Stan Bowman see large potential in the 24-year old forward, but it could ultimately bite Don Sweeney in the butt.
Is this another case where we see Sweeney blindly move a young player, than he begins to breakout elsewhere?
Talk about
Ryan Donato, who just scored more than 30 goals this past season.
There's a few
worst trades underneath the belt of the Boston Bruins, but this one could end up on that list if the Oilers can further his development.
Perhaps the Bruins should reconsider their hockey operations and development team moving forward this summer.
